The objectives of the association are:

• The advancement of the general interest of culinarians.
• To further interest in the professional preparation and service of food.
• To stimulate and support young culinarians.
• To fund raise for the local community and general membership.
• 



The MDCA was established in 1980 as a branch of the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) which itself is a member of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS)

The association represents Chefs, cooks, student culinarians, as well as associate members who are leaders in support of the Foodservice industry in Muskoka and surrounding regions.
